The above websites were created, designed, and revamped by The James Concept. The more I get into building these sites, the more I realize that the resources available today are simply amazing, as is what can be accomplished with some thought and a little bit of time.

When I started building websites, I created them from scratch, building each individual button, designing the layout, and creating what I thought was inspiring for both the client and the viewers. Much of my early work was created in this way. As time passed, I moved on and started using web templates as inspiration for and the foundation of the site. I take a basic template layout and change it to tailor a one-of-a-kind site that will draw attention.

Building a site on the template foundation serves the customer as well as myself. Because building sites is not my full-time job, the time I have available to follow my passion is limited. Templates allow me to construct a site much more quickly. Not only does the template provide the site's foundation, it also helps focus the initial coversations. Templates allow me to quickly understand the customer's preferences and to come to agreement more quickly regarding the site's image. It also ensures we are both thinking on the same page. Whereas a site built from scratch could take twice as long, using a template shortens the timeframe to at least four weeks; most sites can be completed within that time.
